ELT for Internationally Trained Professionals
Feb 1, 2010 to Mar 26, 2010 - New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence Inc. Global Business Centre is offering the Enhanced Language Training (ELT) Program for Internationally Trained Professionals. It provides training and support at NO COST to permanent residents and convention refugees looking to enhance their career opportunities.
Eligibility requirements: English proficiency assessed at LINC Level 5 and above. The new session will begin on February 1, 2010 and includes 8 weeks of in-class training, followed by 4-weeks of voluntary work placement in a local business or community agency. A work setting is matched to a client’s interests and goals. Program highlights include Business Writing; Sector-Specific Language; Employment-Readiness Skills; Canadian Workplace Language; Certification and Accreditation Support; Computer Training - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; 4-Week Work Placement in client’s professional field and much more. Childcare for children 18 months to 6 years of age is provided at no cost. Transportation assistance is available for eligible clients.
